K.D. Francis is a seasoned professional boasting over a decade's worth of expertise in Public Administration, Corporate Governance, Programme Management, Community Development and Creative & Graphic Design across both public and private sectors.
As the Founder and Director of Graphixity, a graphic design company with a presence in Jamaica and the USA, Mr. Francis oversees operations catering to clients in the Caribbean, North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, he serves as a co-founder and Director for St. Thomas Events. Mr. Francis has also held significant leadership roles in the public sector, having worked with the Jamaica 4-H Clubs and the Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (now HEART Trust/NSTA).
His extensive experience in corporate governance includes Deputy Chairman for the Maxfield Park Children's Home, Deputy Chairman for the Bath Corporation, and Director for the Princess Margaret Hospital, the Trade Board (Jamaica) Ltd, and the Jamaica 4-H Clubs. Mr. Francis has chaired and served on committees overseeing Human Resources, Finance, Administration, PR & Communications, Special Projects, Trade Policies and Corporate Governance. He is also the former Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Awards Selection Committee and a past member of the Youth Advisory Council of Jamaica Selection Committee. Additionally, he was appointed to serve on the Jamaican Government's Taskforce on the Restructuring of the Maxfield Park Children's Home and has contributed to several Early Childhood and Primary School Boards of Management.
In the realm of political engagement, Mr. Francis served as Vice President in charge of Foreign Affairs for Generation 2000, the political youth affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party. His leadership roles also include Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Chairman of the Political Education & Training Committee, and Chairman for both the St. Thomas and University of the West Indies Chapter. He has actively participated in various political campaigns and committees, overseeing data management, polling, and canvassing.
Internationally, Mr. Francis has represented Jamaica in delegations and as a panelist at conferences and seminars, focusing on topics such as drug policy reform, special economic zones, agricultural sustainable development, and climate change.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Francis has dedicated his time to volunteer work, serving as President for Volunteers Inc, President of the Arcadia Community Development Committee, and volunteering with Special Olympics Jamaica.
